I have been trying to dig a little deeper into the semiotics behind dance, hoping to link back to my use of dance and ballet in my own photographs, as a form of expression, as dance often is used in such a way, especially contemporarily.
However it is hard to find relevent articles, as a few I have found link dance to psychotherapy and analytical psychology, based on the writings of Carl Jung in particular in the essay The Body as Symbol: Dance/Movement in Analysis by Joan Chodorow. (click on the highlighted title for the direct link to the writing.)
While I found this informative, it is not particularly helpful for furthering my current work.
